   Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting)

This Diploma course is designed to introduce students to the accounting profession. Basic accounting, economic, management, legal and information technology knowledge and skills would be taught. This enables the graduates to seek employment at the technician level as well as to further their education and training to be qualified professional accountants.
 
 

     Minimum Entrance Requirements

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional, (SPMV) as follows: -

        (i)  Pass in Bahasa Melayu.
        (ii) 5 credit passes which must include English Language and Matematik.
 
 

     Education and Career Prospects

The Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) is recognised and accepted by reputable professional bodies.  Students who have sucessfully completed this course may claim exemption from the Foundation Stage of ACCA and Stage 1 plus Business Law of CIMA.   They can advance to higher studies for Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting / Management Accounting) cum ACCA/CIMA or Advanced Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) at Tunku Abdul Rahman College or Honours Degrees from universities.
